Jennifer Fox – ED, Oregon Bioscience Incubator
Jennifer Fox, Ph.D. is Executive Director of the Oregon Bioscience Incubator (OBI), a state-funded non-profit that fuels economic development of Oregon’s bioscience industry. Today, the OBI is home to twenty-two startup companies, developing new medical devices, diagnostics, therapeutics, digital health IT and wellness products. In the past ten years, Dr. Fox has leveraged $17 million in state funding for the OBI into more than $706 million in private, angel, venture capital and grant funding for Oregon startups. Dr. Fox currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Portland Innovation Quadrant (Portland IQ), the Oregon Bioscience Association (Oregon Bio), the Oregon Entrepreneur Network (OEN) and the Portland Community College Biotech Program. Dr. Fox received her Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology and has more than 25 years of research experience at the University of Oregon, Northwestern University, Tulane University, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and University of Georgia.
