ANGELA RUGGIERO – OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST
Angela Ruggiero is a leading figure in the world of global sports. She is a four-time Olympic hockey player who won the Gold Medal in 1998 for the United States. She is the all-time leader, man or woman, in games played for Team USA. In college, Ruggiero played for Harvard University and is the only defensive player to be honored as the college player of the year. In 2015, she became only the 4th woman to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Ruiggiero is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of the Sports Innovation Lab, a technology powered firm focused on the intersection of sports and innovation– identifying trends and evaluating technology that will drive the future of sport. Ruggiero currently serves on the International Olympic Committee’s Digital and Technology Commission, the IOC Ethics Commission and is a Member of the International Ice Hockey Federation Athletes’ Commission.
