Anthony Effinger, Journalist 

Anthony Effinger is a freelance writer in Portland. Before going it alone, he spent 24 years at Bloomberg News, writing about real estate scams in the American West, billionaires behaving badly, and covering various technology booms and busts. Effinger earned a bachelor's degree in history from Brown University in 1987. His first job in journalism was at McGraw-Hill's super sexy newsletter, Metals Week, where he covered the copper market before getting promoted to aluminum, which, as everyone knows, is a much bigger market! When he’s not hammering at his keyboard, Anthony likes to surf, ski, garden and avoid social media.
